Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sourcing Advisor - Software to lead IT/technology sourcing for On-Prem, SaaS and Cloud solutions in a fast-paced, global environment. You will drive strategy, negotiations and supplier relationships to deliver cost savings while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and data privacy requirements.

Collaborating with IT, legal, finance and other stakeholders, you will manage multiple projects, apply data-driven category plans, and mentor teams to achieve business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• 7+ years’ experience leading IT / technology sourcing activities for Software (On‑Prem, SaaS, Cloud).
• Experience negotiating and redlining software contracts.
• Ability to leverage internal and external data sources to create software category plans.
• Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead the software sourcing team in developing annual and long-term sourcing strategies and pipeline plans for software.
• Achieve cost savings targets.
• Lead RFx and commercial contract negotiations with software suppliers.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, and other stakeholders.
• Mitigate supplier risks through contracting and supplier management.
• Communicate with business leaders on project status, compliance, and policies.
• Serve as a business partner to IT stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to achieve business outcomes and track KPI.
• Lead multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Understand global cybersecurity and data privacy regulations related to software procurement.
