Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Security Engineer to join the Information Security team and protect critical systems across the enterprise. You will design, build, and operate software and infrastructure that uphold SpaceX security standards and enable mission success.

The role requires hands-on experience with security disciplines, familiarity with Python/Go/C/C++, cloud security, PKI, and network protections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS or STEM field, or 2+ years in security software development.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security tech protecting SpaceX systems.
• Stand up authentication and MFA services and network access control identity.
• Automate identity lifecycle for Information Security and partner orgs.
• Run backend infrastructure that security services depend on.
• Operate web application firewalls and security controls.
• Enforce cloud security policy, centralized configuration, and monitoring.
• Document what you run and advise other teams.
• Find threats and ship secure software and deployment changes.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
• Coordinate with information security, IT, HR, legal and partners.
