Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Security Engineer to join Information Security to help protect and drive the SpaceX mission. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining security for SpaceX systems and infrastructure, including authentication services, cloud security, and incident prevention.

As part of the Information Security team, you will work with IT, legal, HR, and software teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions and to document and ship changes that reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM or 2+ years security software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain technology that protects SpaceX systems, networks, and data.
• Stand up authentication and identity services and MFA.
• Automate identity lifecycle for Information Security and partner organizations.
• Run backend infrastructure that network security services depend on.
• Operate web application firewalls and other security controls.
• Enforce cloud security policy and centralized configuration.
• Document what you run and advise other teams.
• Find threats and gaps and ship changes to reduce risk.
• Deliver scalable, repeatable, maintainable security solutions.
• Coordinate with security, IT, HR, legal, software, and other partners.
