Job summary

Municipal Credit Union seeks a Software Developer QA/QC to independently evaluate development work and ensure MCU standards for functionality, security, and production readiness. You will review code, coordinate testing, validate defect remediation and maintain QA evidence across the SDLC.

The role requires strong testing of APIs, SQL data integrity, and familiarity with CI/CD, Postman, Selenium and Playwright, with emphasis on security controls and regression testing.

Qualifications

• Experience testing RESTful APIs, SOAP or web services and distributed workflows.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and MS SQL Server including data integrity checks.
• Experience with source control, pull requests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Postman, Selenium and Playwright for automated testing.
• Understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization and encryption.
• Ability to document tests clearly and communicate risk to stakeholders.
• Ability to review peer development work objectively and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and designs for testability and traceability.
• Perform peer code reviews of APIs, microservices and data workflows.
• Develop and maintain risk-based test strategies and regression suites.
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases; track defects.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and remediate defects early.
• Validate security controls and data handling; ensure production readiness.
