Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Orlando is seeking an Early Career Software Quality Engineer Asc. to perform software validation and verification and to evaluate software processes for contract compliance.

The role requires knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or Bash. You will work with engineering teams and must be a US citizen eligible for a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field (preferably Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience; willing to travel up to 25%.
• Foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using standard software methodologies.
• Academic or internship exposure to Requirements Analysis, Software Design/Development, Product Integration, and Software Testing.
• Ability to interpret, review, or develop code using languages such as C, C++, Python, or Bash.
• Basic knowledge of software quality assurance audit principles, root cause analysis, or process verification techniques.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Quality Engineer Asc. In this role, you will perform software validation/verification and evaluate software processes for contract compliance. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of software engineering principles and quality systems.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college in a STEM discipline (preferably Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience/combined education; willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) utilizing standard software methodologies.
• Academic or internship exposure to Requirements Analysis, Software Design/Development, Product Integration, and Software Testing.
• Ability to interpret, review, or develop code using programming and scripting languages (such as C, C++, Python, or Bash).
• Basic knowledge of software quality assurance audit principles, root cause analysis, or process verification techniques.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency with software engineering collaboration tools (such as Jira, Confluence, or GitLab/GitHub).
• Basic knowledge of aerospace or industry-recognized Quality Systems / Models (such as CMMI, AS9100, or ISO 9001).
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or green belt principles.
• Proficiency with technical documentation and analysis using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
