Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a software quality professional to apply quality principles across software products and verification activities. You will design and implement development and maintenance processes, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

The role requires knowledge of SDLC models, software quality/value delivery, and experience with test and verification strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle models.
• Knowledge of Software Quality, Software Engineering or Systems Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis.
• Design/Development Software Integration and test.
• Ability to interpret software design and code.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to software and software-based systems.
• Performs verification and validation of test equipment including hardware-in-the-loop systems.
• Develops criteria to ensure software quality program compliance with project requirements.
• Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes.
• Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to software processes.
• Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation.
• Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiencies and corrections.
• Ensures measures meet reliability standards.
• Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and process requirements.
• Reviews include requirements, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures.

THE WORK

• Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products.
• Performs verification and validation of test equipment including hardware in the loop systems.
• Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives.
• Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes.
• Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes.
• Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation.
• Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards.
• Performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements.
• Reviews include requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
• Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle models

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
