Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC in Sterling, VA seeks an Applications Subject Matter Expert (Apps SME)/Test Lead to drive customer advocacy, oversee the Test Team, and train users on biographic and biometric identity tools.

You will develop Acceptance Criteria, lead test automation, manage resources for application and data‑lake teams, run daily Scrum meetings, and deliver demonstrations and training materials to clients.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Agile software development.
• Experience using JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence and SharePoint.
• Experience working with customers to gather and refine requirements.
• Experience testing in an Agile environment and developing Acceptance Criteria.
• Experience testing against Acceptance Criteria, including accessibility (508).
• Experience developing documentation and training materials.
• Experience delivering application training and demonstrations.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Position Overview

The Applications Subject Matter Expert (Apps SME)/Test Lead is an integral member of the team responsible for customer advocacy, overseeing the Test Team, and providing application demonstration and training for biographic and biometric identity tools.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for customers and gather & refine requirements.
• Oversee the Test Team, giving overall test direction.
• Develop Acceptance Criteria, lead the test automation effort, and distribute test resources between application and data‑lake teams.
• Provide first‑tier test support in surge capacity as needed.
• Deliver training demonstrations of biographic and biometric applications and produce supporting documentation.
• Run daily team Scrum meetings.

Required Experience and Skills

• Demonstrated familiarity with the Agile software development framework.
• Use of project‑tracking and knowledge‑management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Experience working with customers to gather and refine requirements.
• Experience with software testing in an Agile environment and developing Acceptance Criteria.
• Experience testing against Acceptance Criteria, including accessibility and 508 compliance.
• Experience developing documentation and training materials.
• Experience delivering application training and demonstrations.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of the customer’s biographics and biometrics identity discovery tools.
• Familiarity with Solr queries and HBase technology.
• Familiarity with automated test tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Leadership experience.

Salary & Benefit Summary

• Salary range: $77,000–$163,000 (commensurate with qualifications, experience, and expertise).
