Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Software QA Engineer in Mountain View, CA to support software validation for new features and bug fixes. The role is approximately 80% manual testing and 20% automation, with Python scripting for test automation in a fast-paced development environment.

You will execute manual tests, perform regression testing, and collaborate with engineers to ensure software quality.

Qualifications

2+ years of software QA or software testing experience.
Strong manual functional and regression testing experience.
Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
Basic to intermediate Python scripting experience.
Understanding of Agile software development processes.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Execute manual testing for new software features and bug fixes.
Perform regression testing to ensure releases do not introduce new issues.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate repeatable test activities.
Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and validation documentation.
Support two-week development cycles with approximately 5 new features and 15 bug fixes per sprint.
Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and improve software quality.
