Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann Company, is seeking a Software QA Engineer in Mountain View to validate new features and fixes. The role is ~80% manual testing and ~20% automation, leveraging Python for scripting and test automation.

The ideal candidate will have strong manual QA experience, solid defect-tracking skills, and the ability to work with engineers in a fast-paced development environment. The contract runs through December 2026 with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software QA or software testing experience.
• Strong manual functional and regression testing experience.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
• Basic to intermediate Python scripting experience.
• Understanding of Agile software development processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing for new software features and bug fixes.
• Perform regression testing to ensure releases do not introduce new issues.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate repeatable test activities.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and validation documentation.
• Support two-week development cycles with approximately 5 new features and 15 bug fixes per sprint.
• Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and improve software quality.
