Job summary

MSI is seeking a Software Programmer to join a team maintaining and improving our software systems. The role involves coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs based on established guidelines, with responsibilities across multiple projects.

Requires 0–3 years programming experience, proficiency in C#, SQL Server, XML and JavaScript, and a BA/BS in IT/CS. Flexible hours may be needed; knowledge of MAS500 is a plus.

Summary

The Software Programmer works with a team of highly skilled associates and managers to maintain, implement, and analyze technical systems.

Work Hours

Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Compensation

Hourly, non-exempt position pays from $35 to $42 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $75,000 and $92,000 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and support company’s software applications.
• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and modifying software programs and systems.
• Encode, test, debug and document programs based on pre-established guidelines, programming knowledge and judgement to plan and accomplish tasks.
• Manage multiple projects and troubleshoot applications.
• Provide accurate status on programming solutions.
• Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of direct software programming experience and expertise in programming language
• .Net framework 2.0/3.5/4.0/4.5, C#, SQL Server 2012.
• MS-SQL & T-SQL.
• XML, JavaScript, ADO, Web Services, and object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Knowledge and experience in Reading/Interpretation and Implementation EDI.
• Must have the ability to understand how to analyze and evaluate data.
• Ability to communicate with users of all levels of experience, and to work creatively, and effectively to produce results.
• Self‑starter with the ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Knowledge of common business practices, supply‑chain, accounting, and/or inventory management would be a plus.
• Familiarity with various aspects of programming including layout, usability, code, graphic design, software, and related technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science with an emphasis on software development.
• Good knowledge of data mapping and data pattern analysis.
• Good knowledge of software and programming languages.
• Ability to learn quickly, interpret and follow technical plans.
• Creative approach to problem solving.
