Job summary

MSI in Orange, California is seeking a software programmer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C# and Angular. You will contribute across the SDLC, collaborate with UX/UI designers, analysts, and architects, and help optimize existing systems.

Summary

Software programmer is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications. Write efficient and scalable code, collaborate with team members to develop software solutions, and debug and optimize existing software. Proficiency in various C# and Angular programming languages and technologies. A solid understanding of databases and the software development lifecycle are essential. Candidates should have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with experience in software development tailored to the position level.

Compensation

This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $43 to $47 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $98,000 and $120,000 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Writing and testing code: Write clean, efficient code for various applications according to requirements, test and debug code to ensure functionality.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of various stages of software development from requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Maintenance and optimization: Maintain and improve existing software by minimizing system bottlenecks, identifying user needs, and ensuring robustness of applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, and software architects to plan, design, and develop robust solutions.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation for the operation of the program by end-users and computer operators.
• Version control: Utilize version control systems to manage changes, allowing rollback and efficient teamwork.
• Problem solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during development, often requiring innovative and creative solutions.
