Job summary

Carbon, Inc. is seeking a Software Operations Coordinator to own the operational surface area that keeps the engineering team productive. You will shepherd releases, manage on-call rotations, and handle access, vendor relationships, and runbooks with minimal bottlenecks.

You will work across engineering, support, and finance, reporting to the Head of Software, and grow into onboarding/offboarding, cloud cost stewardship, incident coordination, and health reporting as the team scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software operations or a similar role supporting an engineering team.
• Experience owning outcomes and driving to closure with minimal guidance.
• Ability to manage on-call rotations and coordinate cross-team priorities.

Responsibilities

• Run the software release process end to end across engineering teams.
• Manage on-call rotations, coverage gaps, and fair distribution.
• Own account and access management across SaaS tools and internal systems.
• Own vendor and third-party relationships and renewals.
• Triage support tickets and liaison between Support and Engineering for deeper judgments.
