Carbon seeks a Software Operations Coordinator to own the operational surface area that keeps the team productive, coordinating releases, on-call rotations, and access management across SaaS tools and cloud IAM.
You will triage support tickets, manage vendor relationships, and assist with onboarding/offboarding, cost stewardship, and incident coordination, reporting to the Head of Software.
At Carbon, our mission goes beyond 3D printing. We are enabling creators everywhere to make what the world needs, right now. Our company is built on the idea that diverse fields of study must come together to solve intractable problems. We have grand ambitions to create technology that will influence industry around the world. You will be joining a diverse team with a vibrant culture, where team success is as important as celebrating individual contributions.
Help us change the world and we will help you change yours.
Behind every reliable release, healthy on-call rotation, and smoothly onboarded engineer is a set of processes that quietly keep Software running. This role owns those processes. You will be the connective tissue across the Software organization: shepherding releases, managing rotations, keeping tool access and vendor relationships in good shape, and making sure day-to-day operational work does not fall through the cracks.
You will be joining a close-knit Software organization that ships the platform behind Carbon's 3D printing fleet. You will work alongside engineers, engineering managers, support, and finance partners, and you will report to the Head of Software.
This is a coordinator role, not a program management roleYou will own outcomes for the operational surface area that keeps the team productive, and you will have standing authority to act on the routine work so the role never becomes a bottleneck.
As the role grows, take on onboarding and offboarding logistics, license and seat tracking, cloud cost stewardship, access reviews, internal tools administration (Jira, GitHub, Slack), runbook upkeep, incident coordination, procurement liaison, and team health reporting.
You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position. Here at Carbon, we know that diverse perspectives foster the innovation we need to be successful, and we are committed to building a team that encompasses a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.
At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining salary. The compensation bracket for this position is $137,600 - $206,400 (per year). In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $172,000, taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role. If you are not based in our Sunnyvale or Santa Clara office, the range above will be adjusted for the geographical differential associated with your actual work location.
