Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Software Manufacturing Test Engineer to build and maintain production software for manufacturing test systems. You will write Python and C# to control hardware, automate tests, and integrate with lab equipment on Linux/Unix platforms, including NixOS environments.

You will derive test requirements from hardware schematics, deploy complete software suites to factory racks, and collaborate with hardware/firmware teams to improve test coverage and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years in software manufacturing test or similar hardware test automation roles.
• Strong Python production coding for automation, data handling, and device control.
• C# development for test executives, UIs, and services.
• Solid Linux/Unix knowledge with shell scripting and SSH.
• Hands-on experience with UART, CAN, RS-485/RS-232 and test equipment control.
• Experience integrating with MES and database backends using SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own software manufacturing test activities in production to ensure uptime and throughput.
• Develop PLC‑integrated station control software over Modbus TCP.
• Create hardware‑free simulation environments for regression testing.
• Build test suites in Python and C# for hardware control and operator interfaces.
• Interface test applications with sensors, DAQs, power supplies, and compute hardware.
• Deploy and debug on Linux/Unix, using SSH and command‑line tools.
• Use Nix/NixOS to manage reproducible test environments and deployments.
• Collaborate with hardware/firmware teams to define software test requirements.
• Automate test execution across assembly levels and perform RCCA when issues arise.
• Log data to databases and MES to maintain traceability.
