Job summary

Jobgether partner company is seeking a Software Engineering Manager based in the United States to lead a cross-functional team building secure, high-assurance software for mission-critical edge environments. You will own software delivery from planning through execution while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance.

As the primary technical interface, translate customer needs into actionable engineering requirements and guide engineers through Agile practices, fostering technical excellence

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in management.
• Experience leading software teams, with performance and growth responsibility.
• Translate complex tech into concise updates for diverse stakeholders.
• Deep Scrum/Agile expertise in safety-critical environments.
• Understanding of SDLC, risk management and cross-functional collaboration.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Familiarity with safety standards like DO-178C or ISO 26262 desirable.
• Experience in systems-level software, virtualization, or OS kernels is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of engineers and contractors.
• Own delivery lifecycle for OS features and related software initiatives.
• Balance delivery speed with quality, safety, and reliability expectations.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and stakeholders.
• Translate needs into actionable systems and software requirements.
• Lead Agile/Scrum practices across engineering initiatives.
• Analyze standards and translate regulatory requirements into activities.
• Coordinate resources and priorities across projects.
• Support decision-making and remove obstacles to delivery.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
