Job summary

Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Kingston, NY seeks a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of developers delivering member-facing digital experiences, internal operations, and core financial integrations. The role blends hands-on technical work with people leadership in a flexible, hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities include guiding the full SDLC, enforcing secure development, and aligning with CIO-driven roadmaps.

Qualifications

2–5 years of software development and leading software development projects.
Bachelor's degree or industry certifications recognized as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Ability to present to the Board of Directors, community leaders, and business leaders.
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Willingness to perform sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of software engineers across the full software development lifecycle.
Oversee design and delivery of applications using Microsoft .NET technologies and relational databases.
Ensure engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Partner with the CIO to roadmap platform enhancements and coordinate with governance committees.
Maintain software architecture to support immediate and long-term needs and mentor engineers.
