Job summary
Vylor, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team within Integrated Enterprise Systems in Johnston, IA. You will own delivery health, cost, and operational performance and drive a culture of quality, security, and reliability.
You will mentor engineers, hire and coach, manage priorities, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate product goals into tangible outcomes at scale.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computing or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience leading engineers, including hiring, coaching, feedback, and performance.
- Engineering background sufficient to hold credible technical discussion with the team.
- Experience owning team delivery, prioritization, dependencies, and commitments.
- Experience establishing quality, reliability, and incident response practices.
- Ability to create clarity from ambiguity through outcomes and decision owners.
Responsibilities
- Own outcomes, health, and growth of one engineering team within Integrated Enterprise Systems.
- Maintain delivery health, cost, and operational performance with quality and reliability.
- Hire, coach, and provide feedback to engineers to foster growth.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships and align priorities with business outcomes.
- Lead incident response and manage technical debt visibility and mitigation.
