Job summary

Vylor Inc. seeks a Safety Specialist to support its Controlled Environments at Johnston, Iowa. You will lead safety training, inspections, and industrial hygiene programs, ensuring compliance and a safe work environment for CE personnel and contractors.

The role emphasizes building a safety culture and managing the safety system across facilities. You’ll work with the CE Leadership and Vylor safety teams to update standards, conduct regular audits, and oversee certifications and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to train, inspect, and lead safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards proactively.
• Maintain safety standards and safety-related quality policies.
• Lead safety audits and drills.
• Develop and present safety topics to large groups.
• Train personnel on certifications (forklift, lockout/tagout, fall protection, pesticide safety, respiratory protection).
• Manage chemical inventory and safety documentation.
• Serve as safety and quality liaison for CE and contractors.
