Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years in management
• Advanced degree with ≥5 years of relevant experience and 5+ years in managerial roles
• Familiarity with Python and C++
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design, implementation, code review, integration, and requirements traceability practices

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering teams responsible for architecture, design, and sustaining complex medical device software
• Define tech direction, priorities, and execution plans aligned to product strategy
• Support release planning, risk management, defects, and cross-functional delivery
• Coordinate software deliverables across multiple sites in FDA and regulatory compliance
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop software engineering talent
• Lead forecasting, estimation, resource planning, and release activities
• Drive adoption of industry-standard software engineering methods and tools
• Apply Agile practices to improve collaboration and delivery
• Champion best practices in software development, cybersecurity, testing, and documentation
• Oversee quality, maintainability, and scalability of software products
• Contribute to product strategy through technical assessment and roadmapping
