Talentify in Belgrade, MT is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a software team, delivering backend services and productized integrations across camera and radar systems. You will guide architecture, mentoring engineers, and align work with program objectives.

The role requires 7+ years in software development, 2+ years in a leadership role, experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, and a strong focus on high-uptime mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
At least seven years of software development.
At least two years managing software engineers or serving as a technical lead for a software engineering team.
Background developing backend microservice applications.
Familiarity with full-stack web development technologies.
Knowledge of general software and architecture concepts, including microservices, Docker and Kubernetes, security principles, object-oriented design, and CI/CD pipelines.
Background ingesting requirements and generating work estimates.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Experience supporting mission-essential systems with high-uptime requirements.
Hands-on work with RF hardware, imaging hardware, and complex hardware-software integrations.
Experience using AI tools to assist development and working with computer vision classifiers.

Responsibilities

Work closely with cross-discipline teams to develop software that fits within an evolving system architecture.
Learn and understand hardware and software interfaces to support cross-program software integration.
Demonstrate strategic, organizational, execution, design, and analytical skills.
Build relationships across EW engineering and program management to execute software lifecycles.
Apply technical expertise to build, test, and maintain backend software services.
Support comprehensive software designs and improvements while providing technical leadership.
Collaborate on and support business-readiness activities, including product testing, rollout, iteration, and support.
