Job summary

Progress Residential seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager in Tempe, AZ, to lead a team of developers building enterprise-grade applications with a focus on AWS, microservices, and full‑stack front‑end delivery.

You will shape technical strategy, enforce agile practices, mentor engineers, coordinate with product and operations, and ensure high‑quality, on‑time releases across multi‑team initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology subject area.
• 5+ years of software development experience (front-end or full-stack).
• 2+ years of management experience in an operational environment overseeing production systems.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS.
• Experience with web applications and digital solutions: REACT, Next.js, HTML, micro-services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers delivering enterprise applications.
• Provide architecture oversight and ensure agile and DevOps practices.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, product, and operations teams.
• Manage release cycles, UAT, and issue tracking (JIRA).
• Maintain development standards and documentation across subsystems.
