Job summary

Lockheed Martin RMS in Littleton, CO seeks a SW Engineering/SW Development Lead to guide a software development team on the Radiant Mercury program. You will oversee planning, staffing, performance reviews, and the evolution of software development plans in a multi-disciplinary setting.

The role requires 8+ years in software development with C++/Java, Linux familiarity, and readiness to obtain Security+ within 6 months. On-site work at Deer Creek Facility with occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and program management experience.
• Experience planning and coordinating software development in team environments.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering Processes and tools across Agile/Waterfall.
• Direct software development experience in C++ and Java.

Responsibilities

• Lead ~10 direct reports and multiple projects within the product.
• Oversee staffing, resource allocation, and hiring in the software domain.
• Conduct performance evaluations, promotions, and career planning.
• Maintain Software Development Plans and SOPs and ensure adherence.
• Drive DevSecOps, Agile, and software metrics in diverse program executions.
• Write and improve code for target systems and integrate software components.
