Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a seasoned engineer to join our mission-focused team in New Jersey. You will deploy and administer a Linux environment, automate builds, and support system deployments across multiple environments for critical defense programs.

The role requires hands-on experience with scripting, RMF/STIG knowledge, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Expect collaboration, rigorous process adherence, and opportunities to work on high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or STEM field; related technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years in deployment/administration of a Linux OS (Red Hat preferred).
• Systems engineering across tactical environments, network operations, and security patching/auditing.
• Experience with coding/scripting/automation/orchestration (Python, Ansible, Bash).
• Configuration/change management using Git, ClearCase, ClearQuest; ability to obtain Security+ and a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Hardware and software installation / de-installation (COTS and custom software).
• Configuration management, build automation and release engineering.
• Fault detection and fault isolation.
• Volume backups, system monitoring and cleanup.
• User support and managing network interfaces.
