Job summary

Eaton is offering a Software Engineering Internship at the Thomas A. Edison Technical Center in Franksville, WI. The twelve‑week paid program provides hands‑on experience building interface software for high‑performance, real‑time controls and protective relays used in smart grid applications.

You’ll work with experienced engineers and contribute to CI pipelines, design reviews, and software stories. You must be actively enrolled in a related degree, with a minimum GPA of 2.8, and be located

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science with graduation no earlier than Dec 2027.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 or above.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or visa applications.
• No relocation; reside within 50 miles of Franksville, WI.

Responsibilities

• Develop interface software for high‑performance, real‑time controls and protective relays using .NET and C#.
• Translate product/system requirements into software stories and code with unit tests.
• Contribute to planning, estimation, coding, peer reviews, integration and releases.
