Job summary

Eaton in South Milwaukee, WI offers a twelve-week paid Product Engineer Internship. You will assist the MoL Engineering team with sustaining engineering for medium voltage reclosers, fault interrupters and switches, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will develop design data, learn DFA/DFM, and apply CAD/FEA tools while contributing to product cost savings and process improvements for customers across utilities and industry.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Preferred GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Hands-on experience building prototypes or other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and improve product design and product definition data (BOMs, 3D models, drawings, specifications).
• Assist in tasks related to the introduction of new products and changes to existing products.
• Support production and manufacturing engineering with resolution of production and testing issues.
• Learn and apply DFA/DFM methods.
• Learn and apply engineering analysis and simulation tools (CAD, FEA, statistical software).
