Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on real-world AV technology projects across our portfolio.

You will assist in design, development, and testing of software for ground control systems, user interfaces, data pipelines, and simulations while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to projects with tangible impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming fundamentals in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with development tools and IDEs such as Visual Studio, Git, or Eclipse.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging software components.
• Develop tools and applications for AV robotics and aerospace platforms.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to integrate capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control workflows.
• Help develop scripts to automate team workflows and improve efficiency.
