Job summary

AV’s Summer Internship Program in the United States invites students to join a Software Engineering team for hands-on project work across AV’s technology portfolio. You’ll help design, develop, and test software for applications ranging from ground control systems to data pipelines and simulations.

Open to students currently in college or recent graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA, this 12-week onsite internship offers collaboration with experienced engineers and real, impactful work in a full-time

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Strong programming foundations in Python, C++, or Java.
Experience with IDEs like Visual Studio, Git, Eclipse or similar.

Responsibilities

Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging of software components.
Develop tools and applications supporting AV robotics and aerospace platforms.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams to test new capabilities.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control workflows.
Create scripts to automate team workflows and improve efficiency.
Learn and apply Agile practices in software development.
Support prototypes, simulations, and proof‑of‑concept demonstrations.
Attend team meetings, contribute ideas, and estimate effort and timelines.
