CME Group's Software Engineering Fellowship is a 10–12 week, paid full-time internship based in our Chicago office. This hybrid program focuses on software design fundamentals, hands-on development, and professional growth with a mentor-led experience.

Open to undergraduates in computer science or related fields, targeting rising sophomores and juniors, affiliated with CME programs. Pay ranges from $21.68 to $36.10 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Job description

The Software Engineering Fellowship is a unique track within our Technology Internship Program that focuses on building technical learning, career development, and professional skills, helping students create connections between their academic work and the technology industry. Fellows will explore the fundamentals of good software design and work alongside a professional mentor to grow their skills. This is a 10 to 12-week paid, full-time internship for undergraduate students with a desire to learn and a passion for technology. Although students at all levels are welcome to apply, this program is targeted towards rising sophomore and junior students (class of 2028 and 2029) who may not have previously held a software engineering internship. The Fellowship is a hybrid experience based out of our Chicago office. The summer program includes numerous opportunities to network with peers from across the country during a summer full of experiences such as excursions to enjoy Chicago traditions, trading and coding challenges with prizes, speaker series, and other opportunities for professional development.

Pay Range

The pay range typically applicable to our intern roles is $21.68--$36.10. Actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education, location of the internship, and the internship area of focus.
