Job summary

The CME Group Software Engineering Fellowship in Chicago offers a 10 to 12-week, paid internship embedded on a software development team. Fellows participate in the full life cycle of projects under mentorship and gain exposure to CME's coding practices and team dynamics.

Open to rising sophomores and juniors (class of 2028/2029) affiliated with CME Foundation Scholars, Star Scholars, or partner programs; hybrid experience with networking events and career development opportunities.

Wacker: Full time: Posted Yesterday: 34824The Software Engineering Fellowship is a unique track within our Technology Internship Program that focuses on building technical learning, career development, and professional skills, helping students create connections between their academic work and the technology industry. Fellows will explore the fundamentals of good software design and work alongside a professional mentor to grow their skills. This is a 10 to 12-week paid, full-time internship for undergraduate students with a desire to learn and a passion for technology. Although students at all levels are welcome to apply, this program is targeted towards rising sophomore and junior students (class of 2028 and 2029) who may not have previously held a software engineering internship. The Fellowship is a hybrid experience based out of our Chicago office. The summer program includes numerous opportunities to network with peers from across the country during a summer full of experiences such as excursions to enjoy Chicago traditions, trading and coding challenges with prizes, speaker series, and other opportunities for professional development.
