Job summary

CLA is seeking a Software Engineering Director in Atlanta to provide technical leadership across designs, builds, and delivery of software solutions within our AI & Automation practice. You will collaborate with clients and engineering teams to translate business needs into practical, secure, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, solution architecture, cloud engineering, or related roles (7+ preferred).
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of experience and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of technical leadership across engineering teams, complex implementations, or delivery initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and implementation of client solutions involving custom software, cloud apps, APIs, enterprise integrations, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Engage with clients to understand business processes, constraints, and outcomes; translate into practical designs and implementation plans.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, communicating architectural decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to business and technology stakeholders.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in architecture, prototyping, reviews, and complex integrations.
• Evaluate approaches across custom development, Azure, Power Platform, automation tools, and hybrid architectures; recommend simple, effective solutions.
