Job summary

CLA seeks a Software Engineering Director to provide technical leadership in designing, building, and delivering software solutions within our AI & Automation practice. The role collaborates with clients and engineering teams to understand complex problems, design practical solutions, and guide implementation from concept to production.

The ideal candidate blends deep software engineering expertise with architectural judgment, capable of guiding AI-enabled, secure, reliable, and scalable

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, solution architecture, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and implementation of client solutions involving custom software, cloud applications, APIs, enterprise integrations, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to clients, communicating architectural decisions and risks clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in software engineering, including architecture, prototyping, code reviews, integration, and debugging.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product teams, and client technology teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable architecture patterns, automation, and best practices.
