Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP seeks a Software Engineering Director to provide technical leadership for AI & Automation solutions. You will design, build, and deliver software with direct client engagement and strong architectural judgment.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, architecture, and collaboration with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams, ensuring secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions in client environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and architecture.
• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination of experience may be considered.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and implementation of client solutions involving custom software, cloud apps, APIs, and automation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business processes and translate them into practical solution designs.
• Act as trusted technical advisor, communicating tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in software engineering, prototyping, code reviews, and complex integrations.
• Evaluate approaches across custom development, Azure, Power Platform, automation tools, and hybrid architectures.
• Translate requirements into technical scopes, plans, estimates, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
• Provide technical leadership across engagements and establish engineering standards for security, CI/CD, and production support.
• Guide deployment in client environments, considering infrastructure, security, and identity management.
