Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance to join a mission-focused team on our largest PRIME contract.

You will develop agentic integrations with Python that leverage multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources in production, and collaborate with cyber analysts to identify high-impact automation opportunities. You will build tools and agentic workflows within modern frameworks, design real-time analytics pipelines using Kafka and Elasticsearch, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 3+ years of software development.
• 3+ years in Python production applications serving large user bases.
• Experience with AI coding assistants, prompt engineering and tool calling.

Responsibilities

• Develop agentic integrations with Python using multiple AI models and data sources.
• Build agentic workflows within modern frameworks (e.g., PydanticAI, Langgraph, DeepAgents).
• Collaborate with cyber analysts to identify high-impact automation opportunities.

• Develop agentic integrations with Python that leverage multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources in production
• Build tools and agentic workflows within modern frameworks like PydanticAI, Langgraph, and DeepAgents
• Work directly with key stakeholders and cyber analysts to understand operational workflows and identify high-impact automation opportunities
• Design and implement real-time analytics pipelines in Python leveraging Apache Kafka for stream processing and Elasticsearch for indexing and querying
• Maintain and troubleshoot a production grade agentic platform
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 3 years of experience in software development with strong Python proficiency
• Hands on experience building and maintaining production applications servicing hundreds to thousands of users
• Experience developing resilient, scalable stream processing applications using modern messaging and event-streaming platforms
• Experience leveraging AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and automation
• Understanding of AI development concepts, including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling
