Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Go backend engineer in Phoenix, AZ to develop and maintain scalable authorization and service-to-service communications across Splunk’s platform.

You will troubleshoot production issues, improve performance and reliability, and modernize established C++ services and distributed infrastructure. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree with relevant experience (or PhD), professional Go backend development, and U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years OR PhD.
Professional Go backend development experience required.
U.S. persons with TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph required.

Job description

Develop and maintain Go backend services that provide scalable authorization and secure service-to-service communication across Splunk’s platform. Troubleshoot production issues, improve performance and reliability, modernize established C++ services and distributed infrastructure, and collaborate on design, code reviews, and operational support.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, a master’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience, a related PhD, or equivalent experience, along with professional Go backend development experience. Applicants must be U.S. persons and hold a current U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph; experience with production services and independent engineering work is also required.
