Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking an Architect to design and develop high-performance authorization services in C++, while contributing to Go-based services and modernizing Splunk’s platform.

You will lead complex initiatives from design through delivery, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring scalability and reliability of distributed systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year, plus C++ backend experience.
• Experience in architecture/technical design and leading delivery; Go, Kubernetes, cloud-native systems, and IAM is preferred.

Architect, design, and develop high-performance authorization services, primarily in C++, while contributing to Go-based services and the modernization of Splunk’s platform. Lead complex initiatives from design through delivery, guide technical decisions and reviews, and improve scalability, reliability, and operational support across distributed systems.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, a master’s degree and 4+ years, or a PhD and 1+ year, along with C++ software development experience and production experience designing distributed systems or large-scale backend services.
• Candidates should have experience with architecture and technical design, and leading initiatives through delivery; Go, Kubernetes, cloud-native systems, and identity and access management are preferred.
