Job summary

KGS LLC, on the Amazon Leo Government program, seeks engineers to design, build, and maintain APIs linking Leo capabilities to US government customers. This role develops software services for mission-critical space safety and sustainability applications and coordinates with external systems at scale.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to meet performance, security, and interoperability requirements while communicating project health and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years in design or architecture of large systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience
• 1+ years designing multi-tiered, distributed software applications using listed languages
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field
• Experience with at least one programming language

Responsibilities

• Interface with Leo network team to develop APIs and interface software
• Demonstrate interfaces in a simulated test environment
• Solve complex problems for government customers as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to internal and vendor teams to deliver software requirements
• Ensure systems meet performance, availability, interoperability, and security needs
• Communicate project health, risks and issues to stakeholders
• Escalate urgent issues and drive them to closure
• Provide visualizations and document results across teams
