Veeco Instruments Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test and integrate software for fabrication and metrology equipment, focusing on Veeco's MOCVD tools.

You'll own and drive features, participate in design and code reviews, and collaborate with vendors. A Bachelor's in software or electrical engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's with 3+ years, is required. Knowledge of C#, .NET, WCF, WPF and Windows is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented methodologies, C#, .NET, COM, MS Visual Studio, Windows OS, WCF and WPF is preferred.
• Electrical or Controls engineering background a plus
• Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly reliable and scalable functionality to control complex equipment.
• Drive the technical ownership of products, contributing to product capabilities and knowledge base in order to deliver world-class products.
• Respond efficiently to multiple program priorities with minimum technical supervision and supplemental engineering support.
• Drive product iterations and development activities.
• Participate in designs, design reviews, code reviews and full delivery of software releases.
• Interface with vendors supplying components and supporting 3rd party applications.
