Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field with 3+ years of software development experience
• Strong professional experience developing production software using C++
• Experience with hardware-interfacing software for electromechanical systems
• Experience designing, debugging, testing, and supporting complex software applications
• Experience collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines and Agile teams
• Experience supporting deployed equipment in manufacturing or similar environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, test, and maintain complex application software using C++.
• Develop software that interfaces directly with hardware components, sensors, instrumentation, motion-control systems, and manufacturing equipment.
• Work with testers, developers, and operations teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve field and internal software issues.
• Act as a cross-functional technical lead on projects involving software, hardware, controls, and systems integration.
• Consult with hardware, controls, electrical, and mechanical engineers to evaluate hardware/software interfaces and performance requirements.
• Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility within time, performance, and cost constraints.
• Provide software architecture and design solutions for new features and future product development.
• Perform root-cause analysis of complex software issues and implement corrective actions.
• Work in an Agile/SCRUM environment with modern tools and practices.
• Support system integration, validation, and customer deployments.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
