Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Software Engineer on the Communications team to build real-time chat infrastructure and safety ML models for billions of users. You will scale backend services, data pipelines, and ML systems to keep conversations fast, civil, and expressive across 2D/3D experiences.

Based in San Mateo, CA, this full‑time role includes equity compensation and a comprehensive benefits package; onsite presence is expected Tue–Thu with flexible options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Experience building production ML systems and backend services.
• Ability to design for high-scale, high-availability systems.

• Develop data pipelines and ML models for content moderation.
