Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking engineers for the Blockchain Data Platform to build ultra-low-latency indexing across major blockchains.

You will own end-to-end services from design through production, partnering with product and platform teams to deliver data contracts and SDKs that drive adoption. You will work on real-time ingestion, migrations, and backfills, applying systems design fundamentals to improve latency, reliability, and cost while embracing responsible AI to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong systems design focusing on partitions, consistency, and storage boundaries.
• Backend proficiency in Go and/or Python; familiarity with Kafka, gRPC, Redis, S3, ClickHouse, MongoDB.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear designs with measurable impact.
• Blockchain or crypto data experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed systems for real-time blockchain data ingestion and indexing.
• Own delivery of chain integrations, migrations, and backfills to reduce latency and costs.
• Collaborate with product/platform teams to define data contracts and SDKs.
• Improve architecture and performance across the indexing stack with solid design.
• Support quality via code reviews, testing, and AI-assisted tooling.
