Job summary

Coinbase is building a Blockchain Data Platform that delivers ultra-low-latency indexing, ingestion, and serving of data across major blockchains. You will own services end-to-end from design through production, helping drive latency improvements, reliability, and cost efficiency.

This role collaborates with product teams and external developers to define contracts and contribute SDKs. You will also work on architecture improvements, platform integrations, and observability, while applying

Qualifications

2+ years of software engineering in production systems.
Strong systems design fundamentals including partitioning and consistency tradeoffs.
Proficiency in Go and/or Python with experience in modern data stores.
Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear, measurable designs.
Experience with blockchain data or crypto data is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and operate real-time blockchain data ingestion, indexing, and query pipelines end-to-end.
Own delivery of new chain integrations, migrations, and backfills to improve latency and cost.
Collaborate with product and platform teams to define data contracts and SDKs.
Improve architecture and performance across the indexing stack.
Mentor peers and improve engineering quality via reviews and testing.
