Job summary

Visionist Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with an AI focus for our largest PRIME contract. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and the role supports a mission-driven environment embedding small teams with analysts.

You will develop Python-based agentic integrations, collaborating with stakeholders to extract and integrate data, and build workflows using leading AI frameworks. The position emphasizes secure data handling and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (4 years of experience may substitute).
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, including JSON handling, REST API integration, and data manipulation.
• Experience using HTTP-based APIs to query and access data.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based agentic integrations leveraging multiple AI models, APIs, and data sources in production environments.
• Build tools and agentic workflows using frameworks such as PydanticIA, LangGraph, and DeepAgents.
• Collaborate with mission stakeholders to gather requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Navigate customer data types to identify, extract, and integrate relevant information.
• Collaborate with software engineers to test workflows, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.

Requirements for your new career…

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute)
• 8 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Proficiency in Python, including JSON handling, REST API integration, and data manipulation
• Experience using HTTP-based APIs to query and access data

• Knowledge of AI development concepts, including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience presenting data analysis results to customers
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD automation

$165,000 - $209,000
