Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly capable software engineer to join a fast-moving Agile team in Maryland. You will perform full-lifecycle development in Java and related technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust features for a large enterprise system serving federal security needs.

You will work on server-side logic and client-side UI, develop automated tests with BDD strategies, and participate in Scrum/SAFe ceremonies.

Qualifications

All candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph required.
Demonstrated, in-depth Java experience.
Experience or familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Data, JEE, JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet, Jackson, Jersey, Swing, and JavaFX.
Experience with JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, and SQL.
Experience using Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, WebStorm, or Rhapsody.
Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server.
Experience in web UI development using AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, and XSLT.
Experience with software configuration management and source control tools.
Experience developing on Windows operating systems.
Documented professional experience with web services.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
Ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks independently.
Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-moving team.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 14 years experience.
Preferred experience with application servers, containers, JavaScript frameworks, testing and mocking tools, build tools, Linux development, cryptographic systems, secure systems engineering, Agile practices, Scrum or SAFe
SAFe certification is a plus.
