FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Buyercloud Ad Serving team. You’ll help design data-driven features, scale a distributed system, and optimize performance to reduce cloud costs.

You will work with teams across time zones, participate in on-call rotations, write documentation, and contribute to a fast-paced, high-quality software platform that powers billions of ad auctions daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with C++, Java, Rust, and Go in Linux environments.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design data-driven features for advertising platforms and campaigns.
• Scale distributed applications and infrastructure to higher levels.
• Optimize algorithms and architectures to reduce cloud hosting costs.
• Support observability with tooling and run on-call rotations.
