Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with active Top Secret/SCI clearance and polygraph for our Fort Meade, MD-based team. You will design and deploy agentic AI workflows, build Python automation, and support mission-critical initiatives on our premier defense contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (4 years additional experience may substitute)
• 12 years of software engineering experience
• Deep experience leveraging LLMs to solve complex problems, including prompt engineering and model optimization
• Experience integrating AI into automated pipelines and production workflows using APIs and orchestration tools
• Strong experience with Python, including data parsing and manipulation
• Experience with networking concepts and protocols
• Experience conducting open source research
• Familiarity with Git
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence (Atlassian tools)
