Job summary

Visionist Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Distributed Systems & Cloud) to join a mission-driven team on a fully funded program.

You will develop large-scale distributed web apps using Node.js, TypeScript, and Python, while architecting scalable microservices and secure cloud deployments with IaC and CI/CD practices. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of software development, experience with AWS, and a strong foundation in modern engineering methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 8 years of experience in software development
• Experience developing applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python
• Experience building and maintaining distributed systems and enterprise-grade web applications
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including version control, automated testing, and agile development methodologies
• Experience with high-side development environments and non-attributed network configurations
