Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a software engineer in the United States to develop and maintain Vehicle Management System software. The role emphasizes C/C++ programming, real-time systems, and technical leadership within the SDLC framework.

Responsibilities

Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.

Execute test procedures and document test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Provide technical leadership for software projects.
Support generation and maintenance of software processes, tools and metrics.
Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
Track and evaluate software team to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required by the U.S. Government
5+ years of experience with C/C++
5+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
3+ years of direct experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real time system
1+ years of experience in Safety or Flight Critical Software Development
U.S. Person required for U.S. export control compliance
