Job summary

Gallup seeks a software engineer intern in San Francisco to help shape technology behind digital experiences for Gallup’s research, analytics and strengths-based solutions. You’ll work on customer-facing apps across frontend and backend using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Python and SQL.

You will explore how AI and emerging technologies can personalize experiences, turn ideas into proofs of concept, and collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s or graduate degree program in computer science, MIS or a related field required.
• Classroom, project, internship or work experience coding in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Python, SQL or another development language required.
• Aptitude in programming analysis, design and creative problem-solving required.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with an interest in experimenting with new tools and applying them to engineering challenges preferred.
• Enrollment at a college or university within an 80-mile radius of San Francisco, California, required.
• Anticipated graduation between August 2027 and May 2028 preferred; will consider 2029 graduates.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027 required.
• A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s San Francisco office Monday through Thursday required, with the option to work remotely on Friday.
• Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship

• A full-time summer 2027 internship that pays $45 to $50 per hour
• The potential to work up to 20 hours per week during the school year, depending on business demands
