Job summary

AFFIRM is seeking a Software Engineer II to build high-traffic consumer web experiences within the Marketing & Privacy Engineering team. You will work with React/TypeScript across a modern web stack, contributing to experimentation, instrumentation, and marketing integrations while focusing on privacy and measurement requirements.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Data Engineering, growing ownership of systems that scale.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks (React or Vue).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to design solutions across multiple components and write well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfort navigating a large codebase and providing feedback via code reviews.
• Demonstrated growth mindset and proactive feedback seeking.
• Strong verbal and written communication for global team.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases, coordinating with team.
• Collaborate with product/design/analytics in ideation and constraint discussions.
• Create and monitor metrics, support reliability and on-call efforts.
