Job summary

BTS Software Solutions seeks a Software Engineer II with an active TS/SCI w/ POLY to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role involves developing and maintaining complex software systems, performing design and code reviews, and collaborating across teams to meet performance and security requirements.

Primary location is Annapolis Junction, MD with an emphasis on leveraging COTS/GOTS approaches, system design input, and rigorous testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Four years of IT application systems experience required.
• Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, ACLs for ServiceNow
• Experience integrating third-party software and APIs with ServiceNow using REST and SOAP
• Experience coding in scripting languages (JavaScript/HTML/CSS/AngularJS/JSON)
• Four years of ServiceNow Implementations is required.
• Two years of experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform
• (ServiceNow System Administrator certification OR ServiceNow Application Developer certification is required.)

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports and provides input to system design including hardware/software trade-offs.
• Designs or implements complex algorithms with timing, resources, or interface constraints.
• Oversees software development teams and ensures work aligns with process constraints.
• Coordinates software system installation and monitors equipment functioning to meet specs.
